The Agency Assistance Program Grant (AAP) is a grant administered by the Food Bank of WNY to help our agencies when other funding options have been exhausted. Agencies can apply for equipment, food or non-food, utility assistance, and transportation for the rental of trucks in an emergency.

HPNAP Operation Support Grant
The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Hunger Prevention Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) Grant is a grant that agencies are able to apply for once per year. Meetings are held in the spring in each county to provide instruction on how to complete the grant. Grant applications are due June 1st of each year and can only be obtained by attending one of the county meetings. The HPNAP Operation Support Grant gives monetary assistance for staff, utilities, transportation, rent, disposables, and equipment. Grant applications are scored by a committee that includes Food Bank of WNY staff, NYSDOH staff, and agency coordinators representing each of the four counties that we service. The Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) is a New York State grant that provides better quality of food to food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters in New York State.
