Motorcycle Food Bank Run
The event was a great success with 98 bikes and 132 riders & passengers participating in our Sept 19th 2015 fundraiser bike ride! 7-Eleven Frozen Pizza Donation Drive
Our final December totals for frozen pizzas donated by the community to us is over 3200! Thank you 7-Eleven and thank you to all who donated or helped on this great event!
Food 2 Families
The 9th annual Food 2 Families drive, sponsored by Tops Friendly Markets and WGRZ-TV Ch. 2, collected enough food and funds to give the Food Bank of Western New York the opportunity to distribute more than 1.1 million meals to families in need during this holiday season! Rock Out Hunger 2014
It was a shorted event since we had our crazy Snovember, but we collected 1,600 Turkeys, nearly 20,000 pounds of food, and a record $30,00 in monetary donations! See some more pictures!
Erie County Fair 2014
For 12 days during the event, fair-attendees brought in many pounds of donations for the Food Bank. And during the last weekend of the Fair we had raised enough money from the Johnsonville Brat Grill Truck to provide over 27,930 meals!

It was a great day for golfing and charity work as the Carubba Classic Golf Tournament took place earlier this week.

Walk Off Hunger 2014
The 2014 Walk Off Hunger committee and the Food Bank of Western New York staff would like you to know we greatly appreciate your participation in this year's walk and festival at Island Park in the Village of Williamsville. More than 500 walkers participated and the Food Bank realized a net revenue of approximately $50,000... that enables us to distribute 250,000 meals to individuals in need through our 330 member agencies in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties. It was great to see so many families participate this year! We are really delighted that Walk Off Hunger has become such a family event.

Wegmans Fill the Backpack
Our two week food drive with Wegmans was a great success! Hear how our Fill the Backpack food drive turned out! If you would like to sponsor a school four our Backpack program please help out, the summer months are critical times for students who are not in classes.
Zombie Night with the Bisons
It was an amazingly ghoulish night and a great success! The Buffalo Bisons played the Columbus clippers and we won 7-1 in a great 8th inning upset! And we also raised through donations enough to provide 5,781 meals to the community. Thank you Terror Technologies for hosting us at for the Zombie Bisons game! Mounted For Meals
We have just finished the day off with Mounted for Meals at the Broadway Market. It was great to have the dedicated officers from the Sheriff's Mounted Posse Division help raise food and cash donations for the Food Bank of WNY. It was great to see families and neighbors bring in canned goods and kids of all ages had a lot of fun dropping coins and cash in the sheriff's boots! While folks were shopping at the market, they donated 166 lbs of food donations and helps raise enough money for 3,772 meals for the local communities. Check out our pics on facebook.
Check Out Hunger
Our 2014 Check Out Hunger Campaign is nearing completion with just one more store finishing the end of the campaign. So far we have raised $752,155 in partnership with all the grocery stores and food service providers. Lexington Co-op is running their campaign March 23rd - April 19th. Read up on how well the other stores faired.
The 2014 Sweet Charity event at the Asbury Hall was a great night again showcasing the great food and drinks of Western New York. our silent auction had over 40 different unique items and we raised a new record for bids and donations to the Food Bank of WNY. Food 2 Families sets record with $172,206 donated to Food Bank of WNY Buffalo!
Tops Friendly Markets’ annual Food 2 Families food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Western New York set a record this year with $172,206 collected from donations at local Tops stores. In addition, 116,503 pounds of food was collected during the all-day food drive.
The record donation represents a 48 percent increase in monetary donations from last year. In all, this year’s monetary and food donations enable the Food Bank of WNY to distribute 958,115 meals to those in need in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties.
Rock Out Hunger
The eighth annual 97 Rock’s Operation: Rock Out Hunger set another record during its seven day promotion for the Food Bank of Western New York. Click here for more info! Thanks to all the folks who braved the day to come out and drop off donations to DJ Jickster as well as all the wonderful volunteers who helped us out!

6th annual Walk Off Hunger celebrates families, children and our community!
On July 27, 2013, close to 400 walkers dodged intermittent raindrops and walked through the beautiful streets of Williamsville to benefit the Food Bank of WNY’s 6th annual Walk Off Hunger. This year’s Walk was so successful and so rewarding, we are already in the planning stages for next year! Walk Off Hunger 2013 raised almost $45,900! This amount translates into approximately 208,636 meals for area families, seniors, veterans and children.
THANK YOU to our walkers, donors, sponsors and the village of Williamsville for your overwhelming support of our Walk. We hope you’ll join us again in 2014!
