We have developed multiple nutritional, educational and practical programs to progress our mission and vision. One of those sensible programs is Food Express, which delivers produce and other perishable items, via a refrigerated truck, to member agencies for immediate distribution to their clients. This program exists as a means of distributing perishable items quickly to those in need.
In addition to the programs offered to the public, the Food Bank also has educational classes/programs for agency coordinators and equivalents.
Individuals of all ages, community organizations, garden enthusiasts, gardening and/or nutrition educators, youth leaders and anyone interested in learning more about gardening are invited to participate in The Garden Project.
Since 39% of the individuals the Food Bank serves are children, five programs are geared to not only stop the hunger problem, but to also encourage healthy eating habits among today's youth.
