The Food Bank of Western New York works to feed those in need by acting as a bridge between available food and our member agencies.
We receive donations of food from our partners in the food industry, including farmers, packers, manufacturers, grocers, and wholesalers, as well as from community food drives and individual food donations. Financial support from donors allows us to purchase nutritious food that may not be available through donation.
Once we procure the food, we efficiently distribute it to our 335 member agencies throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties. Our member agencies, in turn, give the food to our hungry neighbors.
We also operate a variety of programs that fight hunger through nutrition education and the direct distribution of food to our most vulnerable community members.
