SITE MANAGER - NORTH COLLINS

Meals on Wheels of WNY is looking for a Part-Time Site Manager for its North Collins delivery area. This position is responsible for the operation and management of the site, ensures coverage for all routes and manages relationships with both site assistants and volunteers.

Required:

  • A firm knowledge of the area of delivery (North Collins)
  • A current and valid New York State driver's license and access to an automobile is
    required to deliver meals as needed
  • A high school diploma is required; and a college degree is preferred
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Supervision of the site, ensuring food is acceptable for delivery and accurate and timely
    delivery of all meals
  • Assist in recruiting, training and managing volunteers
  • Supervise all staff assigned to site, including ensuring accuracy and timely submission of
    senior aide timesheets and mileage reports and ensuring adequate daily route coverage
  • Supervise proper handling of equipment and food
  • Communicate recipient health and safety issues to appropriate personnel

SITE ASSISTANT

POSITION TITLE: Site Assistant
JOB STATUS: Part-time
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Site Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the daily delivery of meals to recipients by driving and/or serving routes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • A current and valid New York State driver's license and assess to automobile.
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assume responsibility for loading vehicle and assist volunteers, if requested.
  2. Deliver meals according to proper food handling procedures.
  3. Remain at site upon return and deliver any meals that may need to be re-delivered.
  4. Obtain relevant information regarding recipients and record it.
  5. Make appropriate referrals to central office regarding recipient issues.
  6. Learn and implement Day Chairman procedures.
  7. Float from one site to another to ensure all routes are covered and meals are delivered.
  8. Other duties as assigned or needed.

VAN DRIVER (SUBSTITUTE)

POSITION TITLE: Site Assistant Van Driver (Substitute)

JOB STATUS: Part-time – Approximate Hours: Monday-Friday 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Site Services

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the daily delivery of meals to recipients by driving and/or serving routes utilizing the agency van.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma preferred.

Ability to read and write in English.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

A current and valid New York State driver's license and access to an automobile if van is inoperable or unavailable.

Ability to pass a drug test, motor vehicle and background checks.

Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safe driving.

Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Report to commissary garage at designated time to pick up and return van.

2. Assume responsibility for loading/unloading delivery equipment into and out of vehicle.

3. Deliver meals according to proper daily delivery procedures.

4. Obtain relevant information regarding recipients and record it.

5. Make appropriate referrals to the central office regarding recipient issues.

6. The following schedule will be maintained after meal delivery is completed:

a. Vehicle log completed daily.  Report maintenance problems or concerns.  Maintain van interior in clean and orderly fashion.

b. Follow established accident and fuel purchase procedures.

7. Other duties as assigned or needed.

DONOR RELATIONS AND DATABASE MANAGER

FeedMore WNY is seeking an experienced Donor Relations and Database Manager. The Donor Relations and Database Manager maintains the integrity of the donor database system, manages data integration into the organization’s donor database system, serves as the primary contact for third party vendors regarding lockbox services, and supervises the Development Associates. The duties include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees management and maintenance of the organization’s donor database(s)
  • Oversees Development Associates’ training, development, performance management
  • Assists with establishing goals for acknowledgement calls, letter turnaround goals and team metrics.
  • Assists with donor acknowledgment letters, stewardship calls and correspondence.
  • Attend appropriate donor events to assist with welcoming guests and workflow
  • Maintain current knowledge of database management, best practices for acknowledgement, and seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including networking with colleagues at peer institutions.
  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by the Strategic Gifts Director

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of Database Management
  • 2 – 3 years supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM software (Donor Perfect, Raiser’s Edge or Softrek Clearview)
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational, time-management and attention to detail skills
  • Works Independently and as contributing Team member
  • MUST have a valid Driver’s License/capable of lifting of 35 lbs.

FeedMore WNY is seeking an experienced Part-Time Donor Engagement Coordinator. The Donor Engagement Coordinator sustains and grows the organization’s planned giving and monthly giving programs, employee/workplace giving campaigns, and matching gift opportunities.  The duties include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the portfolio of planned and monthly giving prospects/donors from prospect solicitation to post gift management
  • Oversee and expand existing employee/workplace giving campaigns and matching gift opportunities
  • Identify prospects through organization’s existing donors and prospect research
  • Assists with establishing goals for contacts, visits and solicitations
  • Work collaboratively with key staff, Board Members, and key lay leaders to cultivate and grow donor relationships
  • Assists with donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship calls and other correspondence as needed
  • Attend appropriate stewardship and recognition events to assist in management of activities, welcoming guests and gathering of feedback
  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned

  • Bachelors’ Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in a related field

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

FeedMore WNY is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to serve as primary support to the President  & CEO providing high-level, exceptional quality administrative support.  The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The duties include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and maintains schedule and travel arrangements for President & CEO
  • Attends meetings in order to compile, transcribe, distribute and record minutes; Conducts research, prepares statistical reports, handles information requests, and performs administrative functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings
  • Provides support services for Management and Board Meetings, Board Orientations and Retreats, and various Committees; responsible for maintenance of any pertinent board records and materials, tracking of Board expectations and elements of onboarding and Board governance
  • Works in cooperation with the Development team to co-manage areas of donor relations which require President & CEO or board level involvement and support
  • Provides support and serves as a liaison for President & CEO’s community based work, committees, and national, state and local Boards
  • Supervise Administrative Assistant
  • Assists with other duties and projects as requested

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • MUST have a flexible schedule/valid Driver’s License/capable of lifting of 35 lbs.
  • Associates Degree and 3-5 years equivalent experience
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organization and creative, independent problem solving skills with the ability to analyze information
