REGISTERED DIETITIAN

FeedMore WNY is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian. As a Registered Dietitian, incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and provision of all nutrition care services, direct nutrition counseling, education and the monitoring of food service and meal delivery to all participants.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist with developing and administering Agency policy and procedures for nutrition care, food products and handling and meal delivery
  • Plan & evaluates client assessment process; conducts basic client assessments and develops individual care plan
  • Monitor and maintain safety, nutrient adequacy and palatability of food service and site delivery
  • Plan menus, analyze nutrient content, design diet therapy protocols and teaching tools; train and evaluate other nutrition staff in the use of these tools
  • Provide appropriate counseling, nutrition education, direct client contact and coordination/referral with appropriate resources
  • Accurate record keeping for monthly statistical reports and other reports as requested or required
  • Work cooperatively with public and private community resources for coordination of Agency services and nutrition care
  • Design, administer and evaluate client satisfaction surveys; administer other studies as required
  • Plan and coordinate student field placements with area universities and colleges; training and evaluate student placement
  • Deliver meals and performs other duties as assigned or needed

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/Nutrition/Related Science; Registration (RD) or Registration eligible required from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics AND New York State Certification (CDN) (required post registration)
  • Current & valid driver’s license and access to an automobile
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • ServSafe Certification Preferred

SITE ASSISTANT

FeedMore WNY is seeking several part-time Site Assistants for multiple locations within Western New York with primary responsibility for the daily delivery of meals to recipients by driving and/or serving.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for loading vehicle and assist volunteers, if requested
  • Deliver meals according to proper food handling procedures
  • Remain at site upon return and deliver any meals that may need to be re-delivered
  • Obtain relevant information regarding recipients and record it
  • Make appropriate referrals to central office regarding recipient issues
  • Learn and implement Day Chairman procedures
  • Float from one site to another to ensure all routes are covered and meals are delivered
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Qualifications Required:

  • A high school diploma is preferred
  • A customer service oriented personality
  • A valid New York State driver's license and access to an automobile is required
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs.

SITE MANAGER

FeedMore WNY is seeking a part-time Site Manager for multiple locations within Western New York. The site manager is responsible for but not limited to the following: operation and management of a site to ensure coverage for all routes and effective relationships with both site assistants and volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the site, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all meals to site recipients
  • Test temperature of meals according to NYS Health Department standards
  • Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and discharge volunteers
  • Supervise proper handling of equipment and food
  • Ensure all food is acceptable for delivery
  • Communicate recipient health and safety issues to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain volunteer information and record weekly volunteer schedules
  • Supervise all staff assigned to site, including ensuring accuracy and timely submission of timesheets and mileage reports
  • Assist the support team in route direction preparation
  • Delivery of meals as needed
  • Assist in volunteer and community relations
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Qualifications Required:

  • A high school diploma is required; and a college degree is preferred
  • A customer service oriented personality
  • A valid New York State driver's license and access to an automobile is required
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs.
