In 2012, the Food Bank of WNY began our Food for Tomorrow Society. The Society is an ongoing program that welcomes people like you who make a gift to the Food Bank through their will, life insurance policy or other resources. It’s our effort to encourage you and others to think about how you might continue to help our hungry Western New York neighbors far into the future.
A long-term promise of a gift in your will is a way for you to provide much-needed support for those who are going to be hungry in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties in the years to come.
Gifts like this are sometimes called “Planned Gifts.” They take many forms and may include: personal bequests, IRA contributions and retirement plans, stocks and other securities, real estate, and life insurance. In choosing to make a special gift like this to the Food Bank, we suggest you get advice from your financial advisor, attorney, or whoever you count on for such matters.
We welcome the chance to talk with you and your advisors to help you achieve your goal of feeding the hungry in WNY for generations to come. For more information about how you can make one of these special planned gifts and become an honored member of our Food for Tomorrow Society, please contact Sarah Snyder, Marketing and Development Manager, at (716) 935-6675 or email@example.com
Make your Legacy Gift …
Through your Will:
A provision in your will (a bequest) is often the most realistic way for many donors to make a significant contribution to the Food Bank of WNY. In addition to cash, you may also leave stocks, bonds and other types of property to charity.
Through your Life Insurance, Retirement Plans, and Saving Accounts:
You can name the Food Bank as a beneficiary on any of these plans or accounts. This is the simplest way to make a legacy gift to the Food Bank. When you complete your beneficiary designation form, just name the Food Bank of Western New York, Inc. as a full or partial beneficiary and provide our tax identification number. You don’t even need an attorney to make this kind of gift.
